This policy explains what information the Library app ("the app") collects and how it is used. The short version: the app works without an account, does not track you, and keeps your reading on your phone.

Information that stays on your phone

The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

• The books on your shelf, the order you arrange them in, and the chapter you are reading
• Your text-size and reading settings
• Your Favorites and the books in them
• Your Favorites PINs, stored only as a scrambled (hashed) value in your phone's secure storage
• Saved verses, reading-plan progress and other reading notes, stored encrypted on your device

We cannot see any of this, and we cannot recover it for you. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.

Information you choose to send us

Some optional features send information to our server, only when you use them:

• Prayer requests and stories. If you submit a prayer request or a personal story, we receive the text you write and, if you choose to give it, your email address. Every submission is reviewed by our staff before anything appears to other users. Please do not include names, places or other details that could identify you or anyone else; we remove any we find before publishing.
• "I prayed" taps. If you tap to say you prayed for a request, the app sends a random code created on your phone so the same tap is not counted twice. This code is not connected to your name, email, phone number or Apple ID.
• Reports. If you report a post, we receive which post you reported, so a moderator can review it.

We use this information only to run these features: to moderate and display posts, to count prayers, and, if you gave an email address, to reply to you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you.

Optional downloads

The app includes all books offline. If you choose to download an additional Bible translation, the file is fetched from a public file-hosting service (GitHub or jsDelivr). Like any website you visit, that service can see your device's internet address for the download. No other information is sent.

What we do not collect

The app does not:

• require an account or sign-in
• collect your name, contacts, location, photos or phone number
• use advertising, analytics or tracking tools
• track you across other apps or websites

Text-to-speech ("listen") uses your phone's built-in voice and does not send text to us.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep prayer requests and stories only as long as needed to run the prayer and story walls. To ask us to remove something you submitted, or to delete an email address you gave us, write to us at the address below. Because there are no accounts, please include enough detail (such as the approximate date and the first few words) for us to find it.

You can delete everything stored on your phone at any time by deleting the app. Inside the app, Settings → Erase my data removes saved verses, plan progress and prayer marks.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages, but its sharing features are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Information sent to our server travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Information on your phone is protected by your phone's own security, and private reading data is additionally encrypted.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Important changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
